Most prop trading education online is written by people who have never passed a challenge. They write reviews based on affiliate payouts, not actual experience. I got tired of it, so I built this site. I do not shill. I partner with firms that pay on time and treat traders fairly.
I am PropTrader1. I have been trading for over 15 years, mostly forex and futures. I started my career in the Square Mile, London's financial district, and picked up CISI qualifications along the way.
What I Actually Do
I trade personal funds and funded accounts side by side. Funded accounts are a genuinely smart way to leverage your capital while keeping your risk limited to a fixed challenge fee. You put down a few hundred bucks, prove you can trade within the rules, and get access to five or six figures of trading capital.
That does not mean it is easy. Most traders fail their first few challenges. I failed mine too, early on. The difference between traders who get funded and traders who keep donating money to prop firms is simple: the funded ones learned the rules before they traded.
That is what this site teaches. The rules, the strategies, the risk management, and which firms are worth your money and which ones are not.
Why Everything Is Free
I am not here to sell you a course. There are no paywalls, no premium tiers, no email gates on content, and no "exclusive community" that costs $97 a month. Every guide, calculator, and tool on this site is free.
I share what I have learned because I genuinely enjoy teaching this stuff. Lots of golden nuggets get shared without asking for likes, follows, or your credit card. If the content helps you pass a challenge or avoid blowing an account, that is the whole point.
My Background
Before going solo, I worked in London's Square Mile advising on markets and gaining CISI qualifications for recommending investment advice. That institutional background taught me things about risk management that most retail traders never learn.
When I moved to trading my own capital full time, I discovered prop firms as a way to scale without needing a seven-figure bankroll. I have passed evaluations at multiple firms, been funded, requested payouts, and dealt with the full experience of what these firms actually put you through.
Every opinion on this site comes from doing this stuff, not researching it. When I say a firm's rules are fair, it is because I have traded under them. When I say a firm's trailing drawdown is brutal, it is because it has chased me around a chart.

Do Not Take Me Too Seriously
I write like I talk. Fast, punchy, sometimes a bit blunt. If I think a strategy is garbage for most traders, I will say so. If I think a rule is designed to make you fail, I will say that too.
But underneath the banter, every piece of content on this site is built to help you become a better, more consistent trader. The jokes are free. The education is serious.
