I have been trading for over 15 years. Forex, futures, the lot. I started in London's Square Mile, picked up CISI qualifications for recommending investment advice, and eventually decided the institutional grind was not for me. So I went solo.
Now I trade personal funds alongside funded accounts. Funded accounts are one of the best ways to leverage your capital while keeping risk fixed at the cost of a challenge fee. I do this every day, not just write about it.
Experience & Credentials
- 15+ years trading forex and futures across retail and institutional environments
- CISI qualified (Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment) for recommending investment advice
- Formerly worked in the Square Mile, London's financial district, advising on markets
- Funded trader at multiple prop firms with real evaluations passed, real payouts received
- Author of 125+ free guides on prop trading, challenges, rules, strategies, and firm reviews
My Trading Approach
I trade price action with a focus on risk management first, strategy second. Most traders get this backwards. They find a setup they like, size up because they are confident, and then wonder why their drawdown is on fire.
My approach is the opposite. Position sizing, daily loss limits, and max drawdown buffers come before anything else. Once the risk is locked down, the setups are straightforward. Not easy, but straightforward.
I use funded accounts alongside personal capital because funded accounts let me trade larger size with defined risk. The challenge fee is the most I can lose. That is a trade I am happy to take.
Why I Started This Site
The prop trading education space is flooded with affiliate marketers who have never passed a challenge. They write "reviews" based on which firm pays the highest commission, recommend strategies that sound cool but fail in real evaluations, and sell courses teaching things they have never actually done. I do not shill. I partner with firms that pay on time and treat traders fairly.
I built PassPropTradingFirms because I could not find a single resource that was honest about both the good and the bad of prop firms. So I made one. Every guide is written from experience. Every review names the downside. Every calculator solves a real problem I had when I started.
Nothing is paywalled. No premium tiers. No "join my exclusive community for $97 a month." I share what I know because I enjoy teaching, and because a lot of people are getting ripped off by bad information.
What I Write About
- Prop firm evaluations and how to actually pass them without blowing your account on day three
- Rules and risk management because this is where 90% of traders fail, not at strategy
- Funded accounts including how to get one, keep it, and get paid consistently
- Firm reviews with honest assessments of payouts, rules, support, and whether they are worth your money
- Trading strategies specifically adapted for prop firm rules, not generic trading advice
- Calculators and tools that give you real numbers for drawdown, position size, and challenge planning
My Philosophy (Such As It Is)
Do not take me too seriously. I write like I talk, which is fast and sometimes blunt. I roast bad strategies and bad firms because they deserve it. I roast my audience because they have made the same dumb mistakes I have, and sometimes you need someone to call you out.
But underneath the banter, I am deeply invested in helping traders actually improve. Every guide teaches something real. Every calculator solves a real problem. Every review is based on actual experience, not affiliate commissions.
